The gag of Aurora's gown changing color from blue to pink through the film was inspired by the filmmakers' difficult decision on deciding the gown's color during production.

It starts off with an especially flattering squared neckline, a loosely fitted bodice with empire-waisted seam below, followed be a faux wrap skirt that arcs around with the most charming ruffles that fall and cascade diagonally down the front, then broaden at the hemline, following all around to arc again and reattach at the center front
